In the figure of the Wilmington Giant we see the Leader of the Warrior-Dance. The figures of the
"Dancing Warriors" on the Sutton Hoo helmet are in the same position, as is the One-Eyed Woden on the similar figure found
in Sweden. Indeed, since the Wuffingas of Sutton Hoo were Swedish there is obviously a connection. It is perhaps not unimportant
to note that the Ynglingas were the ruling dynasty of Sweden, and their name is interchageable with the Ylfingas (Wulfingas
- Wuffingas).
There would seem to be a tradition in which the Warrior-Dances would be done around the Walburgen
or Spiral Mounds. The term "Wal" can mean "to twist", "to turn" etc. However, WAL or VAL can also be associated with the dead
(Val-halla) or the slain in battle - i.e. with the Ancestral Heroes. As I have shown before, there could be a link between
the Germanic Numbers and the Warrior-Dance -
Ein (one) = in
Zwei (two) = sway
Drei (three) = turn
Or even 1 step - 2 steps - turn etc. etc. Two steps forward, one step backwards, sway &
turn etc.
This would be a Warrior Dance performed by the Virile Male Warrior, but also a Fertility Dance,
since war and fertility are linked together. This is where modern "paganism" tends to drift away from reality, seeing fertility
as being linked to "peace". The strongest are bred through struggle and war, and the best result from this - peace brings
ease and then decline and decay.
The Walburgen or Wal-Mounds would thus be linked to the ancient Death-Cults and Ancestral Cults.
These were spiral mounds which still exist today in certain parts of England. The spiralling would link the world of the living
to the world of the dead - which would also be associated with the labyrinth or maze.
We have a clear indication of the rites associated with this theme in the tale of Jack &
the Beanstalk. Here we find that Jack is told by his mother that he must buy a cow for them to eat; instead he is pursuaded
to buy some Magic Beans. Straighway we find links to ancient lore, for the bean has been associated with the dead! Here I
am quickly going to go through this tale - an Initiation Rite -
1. Jack climbs the bean-stalk, associated with the Death-Cults, and it must be noted that the bean
always climbs anti-clockwise (Left-Hand Path).
2. He steals the Golden Hen that lays the Golden Eggs - the ancient Solar Wisdom. The term
"hen" is the clue here, for it is related to the Root KAN/HAN which is knowledge, and also the Dragon. Eggs are linked
to creation, he is thus stealing the means to create or to recreate. This is linked to the Fire stolen
by Prometheus, indeed, these myths are very similar.
3. He steals the Golden Coins, again symbolising the Gold Hoard - the ancient Solar Knowledge
of the ancient Solar Race.
4. He steals the Golden Harp that plays of its own accord; sound is here symbolic of the
Sound of Creation/Destruction.
Like Prometheus he steals what he needs by stehlricht - a clear link to the Mannerbund.
The object is gold but in tribal terms this is cattle, hence the cow at the start of the tale. This is emphasised
by the Runic Galdor chanted by the Giant -
Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum
This is the Feoh-Rune which is the Rune of Cattle (rustling) and the Rune of Gold (theft).
Here we have the basic Aryan Myth where the Ur-Solar Knowledge is stolen from the Giant Race (Tree of Knowledge); this
knowledge can lead to the means to recreate mankind, i.e. to eat from the Tree of Life. It must be noted here that our ancient
Aryan Myth is the polar-opposite to the Judaeo-Christian one where eating from the Tree of Knowledge is seen as a "sin", and
thus getting to the Tree of Life is definitely taboo! The former leads to a higher evolution, the latter to a downward cycle
into decline into the Ultimate Man of Nietzsche.
The link between this Giant and the World Mill can be found in the text -
Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum,
I smell the blood of an Englishman,
Be he alive, or be he dead,
I'll grind his bones to make my bread.
This grinding is associated with the mill, and thus with Mundelfore who turns the World
Mill in Northern Myth. Mundelfore has the same root as Pramantha which some way is the root of Prometheus. Mundelfore
is the father of Hama/Heimdall and he is associated with Cosmic Order and World Order. It is he who wields the Fire-Whisk
and whirls the cosmos into creation. He is associated with the Fylfot-Swastika and the Nyd-Rune.
The runic galdor Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum would originally have been Fa-Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum
which is in vowel order; it is thus likely that this was the order most used, though it is the vowel order of the Roman
Alphabet. But since the English Alphabet adopted this order there must be some original meaning in doing so, hence why this
order can be used for English Runic Galdor.
