In ancient times a land was considered to have its own "spirit",
and in terms of a piece of land occupied by a nation this was called the National Spirit of that nation. In other words the
land itself was considered to be a living being in its own right, and not just a piece of lifeless soil (as today's
materialistic world sees it).
In regard to the land named "England" this too has its own National Spirit,
and this is symbolized by the ancient White Dragon. This is a symbol of the English but it is also symbolic of the
land of England. The White Dragon is thus a living symbol that represents the people and the sacred land upon
which that people lives. It is the most holy symbol of the English Folk.
The ancient Germanic Peoples, including
the Anglo-Saxons, recognised a mystical link between the land on which a people lived and the people that lived on that land.
There was a direct connection between the blood of a people and the soil upon which they lived. Today this link has been broken,
and we need to renew that link before any great change can come.
The revival of the White Dragon will not only
create an awakening within the English Folk-Soul, but also an awakening of the National Spirit of England, and the Land-Spirits
that enhabit that land. Our Anglo-Saxon forebears recognised the spiritual aspects of Nature, and that Nature does not exist
merely on a material level. This spiritual consciousness has to be awakened in our Folk if they are once more to connect to
the National Spirit of England.
Through raising the White Dragon Flag of the English the National Spirit of this
land - England - is awakening. By awakening the National Symbol the land-spirits are awakened, and the ancestral spirits,
whose blood is shed upon this sacred soil, are also awakened to our struggle.
